Leadership Updates
1 Minute Read

Team,

It’s been a busy and positive period across EC Projects, with significant milestones achieved across our portfolio and some exciting opportunities ahead.

Firstly, I’d like to thank everyone involved in securing the Brigalow Peaking Power Plant project. This contract award marks an important step forward for our East Coast operations and reflects the strong reputation our teams continue to build through quality delivery, trusted customer relationships and a commitment to excellence.

With the project now underway, the Brigalow team is mobilising and finalising the organisational structure, while early site activities are progressing ahead of civil works commencing in the coming weeks. I’d also like to acknowledge our Brisbane office personnel for their flexibility and cooperation during the Level 5 air-conditioning refurbishment works.

Across our existing portfolio, we continue to deliver strong outcomes for our clients. A standout achievement was the safe completion of the Pluto Train 1 shutdown, delivered four days ahead of schedule. This complex scope involved close to 100 tie-ins and extensive testing activities, requiring exceptional planning, collaboration and execution. The team is now focused on completing the remaining scope and continues to strengthen our reputation as a trusted delivery partner.

At Brockman Syncline 1, progress continues across multiple work fronts despite delays to shipment four caused by port congestion. Civil works are advancing well, with backfilling underway at the primary crusher, piling completed at the creek crossing and pile cap construction progressing steadily. Significant headway has also been made on underground services and trenching works at the surge bin.

The SMP team has successfully installed the primary crusher, grizzly, apron feeder and discharge conveyor trusses, while strong momentum continues across the overland conveyor and drive station works. The E&I team remains proactive, progressing conduit, earthing and ladder installations wherever possible to maximise productivity as materials become available.

Beyond our project sites, I’d like to share a great example of our commitment to supporting the communities in which we live and work. Recently, we donated replacement tools to the Victoria Park Men’s Shed following a series of break-ins. The Men’s Shed provides an important space for people to connect, share skills and support one another, and we are proud to support an organisation that has such a positive impact on the local community.

Thank you all for your hard work, professionalism and ongoing commitment. The momentum we are building across our projects, our people and our communities position us strongly for continued success.

Stay safe and keep up the great work.

Brett
