As we settle into the new financial year, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the momentum we’re building across our EC Projects portfolio.

Prominent Hill continues to progress well, with civil works now complete and SMP works entering the final stretch. Electrical activities are ramping up as we prepare for handover to the Client by Christmas. The additional works awarded are also progressing well as the team prepares for a shutdown in October to modify the existing plant ready to tie into the upgraded works that we are currently completing. It’s a significant milestone, and a testament to the team’s capability and commitment to delivery.

The Greenbushes CGP3 team continues to demonstrate consistency in continual improvement, particularly in safety performance.  Throughout August, the team concentrated efforts on the Thickener Area, prioritising commissioning of process pipework lines in pipe racks. With works now sitting at 95% overall completion, personnel are being allocated to the final stages in the process building.

At Western Range, our team are beginning the demobilisation process after successfully completing the extended scope of works. This has been an exceptional effort from the SMPE&I crews who have worked safely and collaboratively with our client.

The Pluto Train 1 modification is in full flight, with the first area complete and commissioning underway. The work is difficult and challenging with restricted space for large bore installation into the Process Train. The scaffolding crew have performed well providing access to the works and large bore piping installation is well advanced.

I’d like to take a moment to acknowledge Pieter Burger and Miles Winthrop for stepping up and presenting at our recent EC Town Hall. Pieter used the CGP3 Project as a values moment to showcase the incredible teamwork and collaboration that led to the successful completion of the Dry Plant Construction component. His presentation featured timelapse footage from site, providing a unique perspective on the progress and effort behind the scenes. It was a great reminder of what we can achieve when we work together.

Miles provided an overview of our work on the Pluto Train 1 Scarborough Modifications Project, highlighting the milestones achieved by the team while working in a live gas plant environment. His update reflected the complexity of the scope and the professionalism of our people in navigating high-risk work with precision and care. It was a strong example of our capability and the trust our clients place in us to deliver safely and reliably.

Across the board, our projects are demonstrating the strength of our integrated offering. The collaboration between Melchor, Inteforge, Heavy Lift, and Electrical and Instrumentation continues to be a standout feature of our execution model, and it’s being noticed by our clients.

Tendering activity remains steady, with strong engagement across a broad client base. While some project timelines continue to shift, the pipeline of opportunity is holding firm. We’re seeing increased early contractor involvement and positive feedback, which speaks volumes about the relationships and reputation you’ve all helped build.

Safety remains a key focus. We have had a significant improvement in our safety performance in the recent period, and I thank everyone for their efforts. Safety is not just a process; it’s a mindset and a shared responsibility. Let’s keep looking out for one another and ensure that everyone goes home safely.

Thank you for your continued effort and dedication. There’s plenty of work ahead, and I’m confident that with focus, consistency, and teamwork, we’ll continue to deliver outstanding results.
