Welcome back to the final edition of Around the Sites for 2023.
This year, we've had the pleasure of welcoming new clients in Lynas Rare Earths at Mount Weld and Liontown Resources at Kathleen Valley, securing new contracts with clients off the back of our previous performances on projects like Talison, Chemical Grade Plant 3 (CGP3), Albemarle Trains 3 & 4, FMG Christmas Creek and Train Loading Upgrades (TUL) as well as further solidify our long-term relationship with BHP with award of Car Dumper 3 (CD3) and Car Dumper 4 (CD4).
As Kathleen Valley and Mount Weld continue operations during the Christmas period, we want to take the opportunity to express our gratitude to each of you for your unwavering commitment to these projects.
The remainder of our team will be having some well-earned R and R. recharging their batteries for what is looking like will be a busy 2024.
As always, the run up to Christmas is a busy time for our sites and this year is no different, we have successfully completed shutdowns at Christmas Creek, South Flank and TUL. All shutdowns have been executed without incident and completed on or ahead of schedule with CD3 commencing its shutdown from the 12th to the 19th of December. We have also made timely progress at Mount Weld and mobilised to Kemerton Pyromet. We will also be mobilising to Reagents at Kemerton in January.
Approaching the Christmas break, it's crucial for all sites to maintain focus on the task at hand without distractions. Our priority is ensuring everyone gets home safely. It is also just as important to think safety whilst on break. We often hear that incidents at home are unfortunately not uncommon when basic safety protocols are neglected. Your safe return to work is just as vital.
We are thrilled to announce that we are committed to welcoming 140 apprentices for 2024, thanks to the hard work and dedication of Ann Brinkamp and her team. These opportunities will allow the next generation of industry professionals to grow with Monadelphous. Additionally, if your passionate about HSE, we are looking for interested parties to join us. The opportunity involves starting as a trainee HSE advisor and progressing to a qualified HSE advisor within three years.
As another year draws to a close, it's worth reflecting on what has been another successful year for our division. Our safety performance has been exceptional; delivery of our projects, including several shutdowns, has been delivered on time or ahead of schedule, projects were executed within budget, and we received multiple project awards, ensuring continuity for our entire team into the upcoming year.
Our people are everything and we each make a valuable contribution to our success; it is great to be part of a winning team.
Once again, we wish you all a wonderful holiday season and a happy New Year.
Thank you for your hard work and dedication, and we look forward to seeing you in 2024!
Paul and Brett.
