EC shines in Rio Tinto Supplier of the Year Awards

We are delighted to have been nominated again as a finalist in the 2025 Rio Tinto Supplier of the Year Awards.

Named as a finalist in the Health and Safety category of these prestigious awards, this nomination recognises our commitment to safety and excellence and highlights the incredible efforts of our team.

We are immensely proud of our longstanding partnership with Rio Tinto and the strong foundation of trust and collaboration we have built together over three decades. Together, we have continuously worked towards achieving safer and better outcomes for everyone involved. This nomination is a reflection of the value we place on our relationship with Rio Tinto and our shared dedication to keeping our people safe at work.

This nomination specifically recognises our exceptional health and safety performance during the successful execution of a 35-day shutdown at Paraburdoo, supporting the Western Range Project. Awarded the contract just 14 weeks prior to commencement, our EC Projects team rose to the challenge with remarkable planning and agility, and a strong commitment to safety.

These accolades highlight our dedication to maintaining the highest safety standards and exceeding our customer’s expectations. This is not just an acknowledgment of our technical capabilities but also a celebration of our commitment to taking care of our people.

Our team was highly commended by Rio Tinto for “mobilising a 250-strong workforce, MEA delivered high-risk work plans, equipment procurement, and pre-shutdown enabling works with precision. This seamless collaboration with Worley and Rio Tinto set a new benchmark for health, safety, and excellence in our Major Projects division.”
