There’s a real sense of pride across the Inteforge team, as the business has successfully passed the BSI Benchmark Certification audit to AS/NZS 5131:2016 Construction Category III (CC3) steel structure fabrication at the USP facility in Tianjin, China. Even more impressive, it was a full pass with zero non-conformances – no easy feat given the level of scrutiny involved.

What makes this achievement so significant is that Inteforge is now the first company in Mainland China to achieve CC3 level BSI Benchmark Certification, reinforcing the team’s commitment to quality, compliance and doing things the right way.

Certification will now be awarded to both the Perth office and Tianjin workshop facility, marking an important milestone for the business and a great example of teams working seamlessly across borders to deliver a shared outcome.

AS/NZS 5131:2016 is a key standard for structural steel fabrication. Achieving CC3 means being certified to deliver more complex and higher risk work, backed by strong systems, disciplined processes and highly capable teams. From quality management and welding controls through to full traceability, it sets a very high bar.

Russell McBain, General Manager EC Projects highlighted this as a standout moment for Inteforge.

“To achieve a zero non-conformance result at CC3 level and to be the first in Mainland China is something the whole team should be incredibly proud of,” he said.

“It really sets a new benchmark for what we can deliver.”

Inteforge Operations Manager Martin Cauble also reflected on what it means for the business moving forward.

“This certification reflects the discipline, capability and collaboration across our teams,” he said.

“It strengthens our ability to support customers with complex projects and gives them even greater confidence in our delivery.”

Behind this result is a huge team effort. A special thank you goes to Louie Liu, Mark Rowe, Jack Read and the broader team for the role they played in preparing for and delivering the audit. Credit also to Nick Gill for coordinating the effort across both countries and helping bring everything together.

Moments like this don’t just happen. They are built over time through consistency, attention to detail and a shared commitment to high standards. It is a great reminder of what can be achieved when teams stay focused and support each other along the way.

This is an outstanding result for Inteforge and one that sets a strong platform for what comes next.
