G’day everyone and welcome to the latest edition of ‘In the Loop.’

In this edition, we shine a light on the Mackay Workshop and the fantastic progress they’ve made paving the path toward a greener future, through their hybrid vehicles, energy-efficient lighting and solar power.

In NSW, we’ve expanded our fleet to include 10 new 2024 Toyota HiLuxs – each vehicle offers around a 9 per cent improvement in fuel efficiency compared to the previous diesel HiLux models.

Staying in NSW, our Hunter Valley team are working with ‘The Green Machine’, a remote-controlled mower to increase operational efficiency and reduce common risks with the type of jobs they do.

Our rail team have been kicking goals and successfully completed its first major project for one of Australia’s largest rolling stock operators. Congratulations to the Rail Team on all their hard work, as well as achieving two years injury and incident-free.

In mid-March, we had a bit of excitement on the East Coast with Cyclone Alfred, I’d like to commend everyone for getting geared up and ready to respond if the situation escalated across our various site operations. A special thank you to Presto for highlighting the need for us to complete the cyclone preparedness checklist.

The second episode of the M&IS podcast is now live! You'll hear a very familiar voice and also find out the much-anticipated name of the podcast!

Finally, congratulations to the iPipe Services (iPipe) team in Chinchilla, the latest recipients of the M&IS Teamwork Baton. The team were recognised for their exceptional delivery of services in collaboration with Inteforge, another Monadelphous business.

Take care and stay safe.
