Leadership Updates
1 Minute Read

G’day everyone!

Welcome to another edition of In the Loop, bringing you the latest news and project updates from across our business.

We kick off this edition by celebrating our Gladstone team on being awarded the MD Safety and Innovation Award for the Heater Cassette Removal. The team introduced an innovative method to remove heater cassettes, reducing risks by minimising exposure hours on hazardous tasks and eliminating confined space work. This change led to a significant increase in productivity and recognised the team's commitment to safety and continuous improvement. Well done to all involved!

I also want to congratulate our team at BMC, who were recently being awarded the M&IS Teamwork Baton by M&IS Executive General Manager, Alastair Reid. Since 2018, the Baton has travelled across our operations to celebrate successes and highlight the power of working as a team. Congratulations to everyone involved in the seamless integration of BMC into the Monadelphous business. It is a testament to the culture, values and dedication of everyone at BMC, and the commitment shown by the entire acquisition team.

It’s been a busy few months with the launch of our annual M&IS Strategy, where we reflected on our strong progress in 2022/23 and focus for the year ahead. Last week, I also travelled to Perth with some of our team for the M&IS Leadership Conference. It is always a great opportunity for us to connect, strategise and share ideas with teammates from across Australia and beyond.

Now to this month’s edition! Get to know M&IS Project Engineer, Soheil Tahmasbi who is currently working in our Mount Thorley team in New South Wales. Originally from Iran, Soheil is passionate about inspiring the next generation of women from diverse backgrounds to pursue careers in STEM. You can also find out more about our commitment to Net Zero and the steps we have been taking across to address our environmental impact and protect our natural environment for future generations.

Finally, make sure you tune in to The Resilience Project’s Digital Wellbeing Series focused on gratitude, which is free to access for all Monadelphous employees and their families.

Until next time, please stay safe and look out for one another.
