As we wrap up 2022, it’s the ideal time to look back over everything we have achieved as a business throughout the year. We have continued to grow across the Eastern Region, building on our strong customer relationships and achieving good safety outcomes – one major highlight being QCLNG reaching 10 years recordable free.

Our M&IS Strategy Updates and Awards event was held earlier this week and it was great to both reflect on the year that has been and also see Eastern Region teams scoop up three out of the five safety awards up for grabs!

The team in Gladstone took out the top prize for the Most Innovative Operation for the seventh year running, continuing to dominate in this area. The team submitted 40 innovative ideas via MProve this year, out of a total of 63 across the division. These submissions ultimately benefit the whole business so well done to the team for their continued efforts.

The Best Overall Safety Performance Award went to the Monadelphous Worley Joint Venture – congratulations to the team in East Papua New Guinea. The team achieved zero serious incidents and zero recordable injuries with over a million hours worked within a high-risk profile environment, which is a fantastic result for everyone involved.

Finally, the iPipe team were awarded for the Best Safety Innovation of 2022, in recognition of their Freeze Plugging solution. The team earned further accolades across Monadelphous for their innovation as they were recently announced as a joint winner of the Managing Director’s Safety Award. You can read about this in detail in this edition of In the Loop.

Over the past few months we have had a changeover of leadership within Monadelphous – in this newsletter you can hear directly from our new Executive General Manager of Maintenance & Industrial Services, Alastair Reid, as well as our Managing Director, Zoran Bebic.

Also in this edition, you can also see some photos from Monadelphous’ 50th year celebrations in Gladstone, find out more about the Alpha HPA project, see how we have been supporting the Lihir community and read about Mohamad Golbahar’s recent achievement.

Thank you to everyone for your great work throughout the year. Wishing you all a safe and happy festive season and looking forward to 2023.
