Recently our Rail Team successfully completed its first major project for one of Australia’s largest rolling stock operators.

This extensive project spanned 22 sites across NSW, SA, and WA, involving over 90,000 km of travel by truck, float, and ute. It represented the largest maintenance package the customer has ever undertaken on its privately-owned rail infrastructure, with Monadelphous securing 80 percent of the tendered work.

Collaborating closely with the customer, Monadelphous provided critical engineering support, customised schedules, management of material procurement and introduced innovative waste recycling methods to reduce both costs and landfill impact.

Nathan Geelan, Rail Area Manager said:

“The future for our Rail Team is exciting with opportunities to support our current customers with ‘above ground’ services. We’re aiming to expand our core track maintenance services to existing Monadelphous customers.”

“Our team’s capabilities space a wide range of services, including traditional rail track infrastructure maintenance, overhead gantry rail welding and defect removal, facility maintenance for rail customers and derailment callouts.”

The Rail Operations Team has achieved two years of injury and incident-free operations, a remarkable milestone, particularly given the travel demands, diverse site conditions, varied customers and personnel updates.
