The NRL season kicks off Sunday 1 March (AUS time) when the Knights take on the Cowboys in Las Vegas.

Whether you’re a die‑hard fan, a casual observer, or someone who picks teams based on jersey colours, this is your moment.

This competition actually dates back to the late 90s, and still includes a few ex‑Monadelphous legends who’ve kept the tradition alive. Now it’s your turn to jump in.

$50 for the season, payable before Round 3 (Thursday 19 March).

How the Competitions Work

MAIN COMPETITION

• Standard cumulative points across Rounds 1–27.
• If you forget to tip, you automatically receive the away teams.
• Prizes will be finalised once total participant numbers are known.
• 1 bonus point for tipping a perfect round.
• Joker Round is enabled — choose one round to earn double points.

JACKPOT COMPETITION

• Each round has a weekly cash prize.
• One clear winner = prize awarded.
• Tie for highest score = jackpot rolls over to the next week.
• If the jackpot rolls over 4 weeks in a row, it must be paid out in Week 5 (shared if tied).
• In Round 27, if there’s no clear winner, the jackpot is shared among the top scorers.
• Perfect rounds by multiple players share the prize + jackpot.

MYSTERY COMPETITION

• Drawn randomly around Round 14.
• Completely luck‑based — no favouritism, no skill required, pure chaos.

Other Notes

• No finals tipping.
• State of Origin tipping included if ESPN enables it.
• Margin is bragging rights only — doesn’t affect rankings.
• ESPN will send weekly reminders, and results will be posted after each round.
