Turning up the heat

Written by Communications | 14 Jul 2026

Recently, our team in NSW completed training in heat shrink encapsulation installation best practices, further strengthening our capability to deliver high-quality scaffolding solutions for our customers.

The training was completed by six scaffolding team members, along with supervisors, and focussed on the practical techniques required to install heat shrink encapsulation safely and effectively.

As more customers move toward this style of encapsulation, the training helps ensure our teams are well equipped to meet growing demand.

Heat shrink encapsulation is increasingly being used to manage dust and protect plant equipment and the surrounding environment during blasting and painting activities.

Southern NSW Operations Manager Nathan Brown shared what was involved in the training and said it would strengthen the team’s best practice methods moving forward.

“Led by industry experts, the training was hands-on and covered key steps involved including rolling out the encapsulation sheeting, folding and shaping it around the scaffolding structure, and applying the required heat to achieve a secure seal and shrink fit,” Nathan said.

“While our scaffolding teams have already successfully delivered many encapsulation projects, this latest training reinforces best practice methods and builds on the strong experience already in place across the business.”

The training is expected to continue being rolled out to other team members, with future refreshers also planned to ensure capability remains current and aligned with best practice.
