Our theme this year, *Strong Culture. Adaptive Leaders,* prompted some valuable conversations about leadership, connection, adaptability and the role each of us plays in shaping the culture of EC. It also reinforced that while our environment continues to evolve, our success will always be built on our people working together. While there were plenty of great discussions, insights and shared learnings across the two days, one of the highlights for me was recognising and celebrating the people and teams who consistently go above and beyond. People who lead by example, support their colleagues, find better ways of doing things and make a lasting contribution to our business. Taking the time to acknowledge and celebrate these achievements was a timely reminder that all of our success, past, present and future, is founded on our people. **HSE Awards** Care is at the heart of everything we do, and this year's HSE Award recipients are excellent examples of what it means to look after our people, lead by example and create safer workplaces for everyone around them. Your actions help create the culture we are striving towards right across our business. **EC Innovation Awards** Innovation starts with people who challenge the status quo, solve problems differently and look for smarter ways of delivering value. This year's entries showcase the ingenuity, practical thinking and continuous improvement mindset that exists right across EC. Congratulations to our 2026 EC Innovation Award recipients: **Winner** Urea Storage Shed Walls *Perdaman Project Ceres (Civil)*   **Runner Up** Large Bore Pipe Installation Trolley System *Woodside Pluto Train 1 Modifications Project*   **Special Commendation - Most Innovative Site** Woodside Pluto Train 1 Modifications   **EC EGM Commendation** This year, I was particularly pleased to introduce a new award, the EC EGM Commendation, recognising extraordinary contribution to the business over a sustained period. The inaugural recipients of the EC EGM Commendation award were the **EC Projects Pre-Contracts Team**: - Guilio Binetti - Rian Day-Jones - Kevin McGarry - Gaetano Mendolia - Tony Mendolia - Mike Purchase - David Salmon - Paul Smith - Anita Stacey - Colby Thompson - David Turner Much of the team's work happens behind the scenes, but its impact is felt across the division. Their dedication, professionalism and commitment over the past 12 months has played a critical role in positioning EC for future success. Congratulations to each recipient and thank you for a truly outstanding contribution. **Thank you to our contributors** Our conference only succeeds because of the willingness of our people to step up, share their experiences and contribute openly. Thank you to our panel members **John Skipsey**, **Lewis Dalwood**, **Dan Ooi**, **Brett Waters**, **Russell McBain** and **Damien Johnson** for sharing their insights, experiences and perspectives so openly. The discussion reinforced the value of learning from one another and drawing on the collective experience that exists across EC. I'd like to extend our thanks to **Jason Cippitelli** for leading our technology session and helping us think about the opportunities, challenges and practical applications of emerging technologies across our business. And of course, thank you to **Travis Gaspar**, **Trent Murat**, **Dave Reynolds**, **Josh Baharta**, **Iain Hannant** and **Reuben Joseph** for enthusiastically stepping into friendly combat during our HSE Debate. It was a fantastic way to challenge thinking, generate discussion and finish the conference on a high. Throughout the conference we heard powerful messages about resilience, perspective, communication, connection and adaptability. We were challenged to stay curious, embrace change and think differently about how we lead ourselves and others. To everyone across EC, thank you for the contribution you make to our business every day. The conference theme, *Strong Culture. Adaptive Leaders*, reflects the environment we're continuing to build together.
