Welcome to this month’s edition of On the Hook. June marks the end of the financial year, a time to pause and recognise the fantastic achievements of the Heavy Lift team over the last 12-months. None of these achievements would be possible without the contribution of every person in the team – I thank you for your ongoing hard work, dedication, commitment, and for continually looking out for your teammates to keep safe. I also want to thank your families for their support to enable you, and us, to continually deliver outstanding results – please pass on my appreciation. I could not be prouder of this team and have summarised some of the key achievements and highlights over the last 12-months below.
As we turn our minds to the next 12-months and beyond, it is an exciting time, with a buoyant Australian resources market outlook. We are well positioned to capitalise on these market opportunities, to bid and win, and deliver superior outcomes for our customers backed by the depth and strength of our talented people, our safety record, our growing fleet and the additional capability that our joint venture, Alevro, brings. Our customer base has grown over the last 12-months and we are seeing heightened levels of tendering activity for heavy lift and heavy haulage packages directly for external customers and supporting a wide range of projects within the wider Monadelphous. I am excited to see what we can deliver as a team!
Pleasingly, our Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan 2022-2025 has been endorsed and will be launched through a series of activities and events during NAIDOC Week from Sunday 3 to Sunday 10 July 2022. In this newsletter we look at the engagement initiatives recently held to engage local Indigenous people in meaningful work with us. As Monadelphous celebrates its 50th anniversary, we look at the first crane to form the Heavy Lift fleet and where the Monadelphous name comes from, stay tuned to the information and activities shared over the coming months as we continue to celebrate 50.
