Happy retirement to our mate Mal

After a decorated career in the industry, we farewell a mate to all, Mal Dodt, and wish him well in his retirement.

Having spent the majority of his career in the industry, although only four and a half of those with the Monadelphous Heavy Lift team, Mal is hanging up his boots to take on his next life chapter.

He’s seen much of the Pilbara and now it’s time to put those Qantas points to good use and see the world with his wife – only after he gets his head around not having a job! First stops are the United States and Canada, after that the world is his oyster.

Mal operates our larger crawlers and has been an asset on every project from South Flank, Iron Bridge, Pluto to the FMG shutdown circuit commented Heavy Lift Project Superintendent, Matt Sprague.

“Mal’s a super easy-going guy, nothing is ever a problem. He’s relaxed and has been an exceptional mentor to his team.”

“He turns up, gets the job done, and you just know you can rely on him – you’re in safe and capable hands.”

“We’re going to miss Mal in Heavy Lift; he’s been an asset to the team. And, I think we’re not the only ones that will miss Mal, the industry will too,” finished Matt.

On behalf of Monadelphous, thank you and good luck Mal. If you do get bored or change your mind we’ll find a place for you!
