Heavy Lift Safety Update - February 2022

The Christmas period is historically a high-risk time across our business, pleasingly the month of December was one of our best results for the last three years in terms of incidents, with only one first aid incident. January also started of strongly, although we did have a number of minor incidents at the end of the month.

We’ve seen the Tinny Time program starting to gather momentum across our projects, with three nominations from the team at Solomon and one from the team at Iron Bridge.

January’s EC Divisional Tinny Time winner is Casey Minson and Lucky Emery from Heavy Lift at Solomon.

Casey and Lucky were nominated for helping out their mates. When they had no jobs on for fixed plant and noticed some shutdown team members unloading some counterweights in the yard they took it upon themselves to help their mates out when they could’ve just as easily had a shade break. This is a perfect example of what Tinny Time is all about!

We encourage all teams to get behind this initiative. Our crews are constantly doing a great job in the field, let’s make sure we recognise their efforts.
