Melchor transition team awarded Teamwork Baton

Written by Communications | 16 Dec 2024

Melchor’s civils expertise brings a new capability to our Engineering Construction Division and, last week, the Melchor transition team was awarded the EC Teamwork Baton for their outstanding efforts in bringing the recently acquired business into core Monadelphous processes and systems.

The award was presented by Executive General Manager - EC, Adam Cook and General Manager - Civil, Stuart Crofts, who acknowledged the collaboration between various Group, EC Division and Melchor functional teams.

Stuart said many functional representatives, along with their Melchor counterparts, met regularly over an extended period to plan, problem solve and collectively make decisions on how to best transition the Melchor business into the Monadelphous operating environment.

The teams included representatives from IT, tax, treasury, procurement, payroll, safety, HR, IR, recruitment and business services. Many people, in addition to their usual responsibilities, spent time with their Melchor counterparts to provide training and support during this period of change, said Stuart.

Migration to the Monadelphous IT network, followed by implementation of finance, procurement, payroll and HR systems were key milestones in the transition process and were achieved without major disruption to operational activities. The new business processes and systems are now embedded within Melchor, and the business has moved from transition to a more stable business-as-usual environment.”

Congratulations to all involved for this well-deserved recognition, and in particular, Lestelle Haines for her leadership of the due diligence process and management of the transition process.
