At Monos, we are fortunate to have many people who have built their careers with us over many years. Manager of Development and Growth – Eastern Region, Rod Stribley, recently celebrated his own 10th anniversary with us!
Over the past decade, Rod has made a lasting impact across the business. He spent six years as Heavy Lift Business Development Manager before stepping into a major leadership role within Alevro, a joint venture between Monadelphous and Fagioli.
As Manager of Alevro, Rod was responsible for bringing the partnership to life from the beginning. From establishing the joint venture and shaping its strategic direction to overseeing day‑to‑day operations, he worked closely with a highly skilled team across both organisations to drive cohesion, growth and operational success.
For Rod, building Alevro wasn’t just a job, it was a passion. He focused on strengthening the brand, creating sustainable revenue streams and helping shape the future of heavy lift capability in the Australian resources sector. His background as an experienced business manager, with expertise spanning construction, mining, minerals, oil and gas, combined with his MBA and Master of HR Management, gave him the tools to lead with both strategy and heart. However, his journey started long before that, beginning his career as a tradesperson and working his way up through the industry.
When asked about his favourite memories at Monadelphous, Rod said it’s the people – the teams he’s worked with, the challenges tackled together, and the moments of humour that have carried everyone through long days and big projects. Whether it’s the camaraderie on site, the shared wins, or the laughs that break tension in a tough week, those connections are what stand out most.
“What I’ve valued most during my time here are the people I’ve worked with. Having good strategy and structure also matter, however it’s the team beside you that truly makes the difference.” Rod said.
A decade in engineering and construction takes resilience, commitment and a whole lot of heart – and Rod has brought all of that, along with the kind of humour that makes even the more challenging days a little lighter.
“You need a good laugh every now and then. Some of the funniest moments have come from long days when someone cracks a joke at just the right time. It keeps everyone going,” he said.
Looking back, Rod says Monadelphous has given him the chance to work with exceptional people and embrace opportunities that have taken him around the world. As he steps into his next chapter with the Eastern Region team, we’re excited to see the impact he’ll continue to make.
“I’ve been lucky. Monos has opened doors I never expected, and I’ve met some incredible people along the way,” he said.
Congratulations, Rod and thank you for everything you’ve contributed so far.
