Welcome Daniel Ooi and Patrick O’Boyle to key EC leadership roles
I am excited to announce that Daniel Ooi has joined the EC Division in the capacity of General Manager Heavy Lift and Support Services. Within EC, Daniel will be an integral member of the senior leadership team (SLT); work in collaboration with each of the business units by continuing the exceptional work Lorna Rechichi has done leading the Heavy Lift Business unit, inclusive of the Alevro JV with Fagioli.
The extra dimension to Daniel’s role is that of Support Services, which will include functional leadership across EC for Design and Project Management/Engineering, Technical Services (including technical procurement), Logistics and Material Management. The development and prioritisation of these functional capabilities from a Divisional perspective will be aligned with the strategic and tactical needs of our business.
Daniel joins Monadelphous EC having built a 20+ year career in Engineering working with Contractors, OEMs, Owners and Engineers across Resources and Oil and Gas, including a period with Mondium, our Joint Venture with Lycopodium. With this broad experience in our core markets and insight into our clients and partners through the senior roles he has held, Daniel’s unique skillset and experience will be invaluable to both our current operations and future growth aspirations.
I would like to recognise and thank Lorna for her tireless dedication to the Heavy Lift role in parallel with her new role as General Manager Strategy and Growth which she has been fulfilling since December 2024. Daniel’s commencement will allow an effective transition of responsibility and allow Lorna to concentrate on the EC strategic plans which were launched last month and are currently being rolled out through the business.
We have also made another key senior appointment, with the commencement of Patrick O’Boyle in the role of National Business Development Manager for the EC Division. Joining our team on Monday 22 September, Patrick will play an integral part in the support of our continued growth, whilst strengthening support to the EC Projects General Managers and the Pre-contracts Team.
