Leadership Updates
2 Minute Read

Hi Team,

As we head into the festive season and the second half of FY26, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible year we have had so far and share some exciting updates.

It’s been especially rewarding to see our EC Strategy continuing to take shape. Earlier this year, we talked about our focus on entering the Electrification, Generation and Storage markets, and building our capability to be a key contractor in Power Transmission and Distribution. These goals are part of a long-term plan to position ourselves for the future – and we’re now seeing some major steps forward.

I’m delighted to share the news of our recent acquisition of Australian Power Industry Partners (APIP), a specialist high voltage electrical contractor based in Queensland. APIP brings ISO-accredited expertise in end-to-end high voltage solutions, including design management, procurement, construction, and renewals of power transmission, distribution, and substation infrastructure. The acquisition of APIP further expands our capability and supports our entry into the transmission and distribution sector. This is the early phase of what is expected to be a strong, long-term pipeline of opportunities.

On the projects front, we’ve been busy! Work continues on some of our major projects, with the Chevron Jansz-Io Compression Project, the Parker Point Stockyard Sustaining Project, Fitzroy to Gladstone Pipeline project and the North Star Junction BESS all progressing well thanks to the hard work and commitment of our teams.

We have had a busy few months in the tender space and I am excited to announce that we have recently secured our second Battery Storage Projects for Fortescue, the Eliwana BESS Project. We have a good number of tenders in progress across a variety of projects, one of which is another BESS project.

Finally, a big shoutout to Keegan Spiteri, who recently received the Chevron Gold Coin Award on the Jansz-Io Compression Project! This award recognises Keegan’s exceptional problem-solving skills, technical expertise and commitment to safety and quality on site. His proactive approach and calm, considered response set a great example of individual accountability and the strong safety culture we strive for. Congratulations, Keegan on this well-deserved recognition!

As we close out the year, let’s keep the focus on finishing strong, starting stronger. This campaign is a reminder to prioritise safety and make sure everyone gets home safely. The end-of-year period is one of the highest-risk times for our people, with extra pressures, tight deadlines and additional distractions, which can take our attention away from the job. This is when mistakes happen, and none of us want that.

Our focus this month is on distractions and the importance of checking in, staying focused and checking out. Take time to look out for your mates, watch for signs of stress or fatigue, and use the shutdown checklist to make sure nothing gets missed. Slowing down just enough to stay safe makes all the difference. Every one of us has a role to play in finishing the year strong and keeping ourselves and our team safe.

There’s a lot to celebrate as we wrap up the year. Thank you for your hard work, dedication and energy – it’s what makes these achievements possible. To all of our E&I team members and those who support us, I hope you enjoy the festive season, stay safe, and return refreshed and ready to make the second half of FY26 even better.

Damien
