On the Wire

A message from Damien

I hope everyone’s been keeping safe and well since the last edition of On the Wire. There’s certainly a lot happening across the business, and it’s been great to see the standards our teams continue to set through the way they work together and support one another.

We’ve had an exceptional start to the year with a couple of standout achievements that are well worth celebrating. First up, our Parker Point team was named HSE Contractor of the Quarter for the end of 2025 by Bechtel. This recognition speaks volumes about the sustained commitment to safe work practices and the positive HSE culture across the Parker Point Stockyard Sustaining Project.

Across the quarter, the team consistently met critical risk management requirements, maintained strong action management discipline and delivered zero incidents, supported by high weekly inspection scores. Just as importantly, the crew stayed ahead of risk through proactive identification and management, while reinforcing positive behaviours through ICARE, making good practice the norm, not the exception.

This award is about the culture on site and the way the team consistently looks out for one another. It belongs to everyone, and it’s something to be genuinely proud of, driven by strong teamwork and a clear focus on safety, every day. Congratulations to all involved, and thank you for continuing to set the standard.

It’s just as pleasing to recognise another achievement for the E&I teams. With the Chevron Jansz‑Io Compression Project now complete, I’m extremely proud to see the team awarded February’s EC Teamwork Baton. This recognition is a fitting way to close out a project that’s been delivered to the highest standard.

The team finished the works with an exceptional safety and delivery record, reflecting the way safety, accountability and teamwork were embedded from planning right through to execution. What started with the challenge of integrating different teams and ways of working evolved into a genuinely high‑performing environment built on trust, ownership and a shared commitment to doing the job the right way. This project represents our Monadelphous values in action, and the Teamwork Baton is a well‑earned recognition of an exceptional team effort.

We continue to make strong progress in the renewable energy space, particularly across large‑scale battery energy storage projects. Following the successful completion of the North Star Junction and Eliwana BESS projects for Fortescue, and the recent award of our third BESS project, we now have a solid succession of projects under our belt. This experience is building real capability within the business, opening up new opportunities and aligning strongly with our growth strategy to expand our footprint across renewable and future‑energy infrastructure. It’s encouraging to see this work coming together and positioning us well for what’s ahead.

I recently attended the launch of our latest Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan on the banks of the Derbal Yerrigan (Swan River). It was a genuinely meaningful experience, rich in culture and connection. Our new Stretch RAP builds on the progress we’ve already made and focuses on embedding reconciliation in a way that’s authentic, practical and lasting. I encourage everyone to take the time to read the plan, understand what it means, and reflect on how your everyday actions can help bring it to life over the years ahead.

Thank you, as always, for the energy, professionalism and teamwork you bring to your roles. The work underway across the business gives us a strong platform for the months ahead, and I’m looking forward to what we’ll continue to achieve together.
