What a fantastic start to FY26 it’s been!

I’m thrilled to share that our E&I business unit has hit the ground running with the award of three new projects, each marking a significant milestone in our journey.

In the Pilbara, we’ve been engaged by long-term customer Rio Tinto to deliver electrical and instrumentation construction services at the Parker Point Stockyard Sustaining Project near Dampier. This is a great win for the team and a testament to the strong relationships we continue to build. Work is already underway and expected to wrap up by mid-2026.

Over in Central Queensland, we’ve secured the Fitzroy to Gladstone Pipeline project – the largest ever undertaken by our Gladstone operations. This is a huge achievement and reflects the capability, commitment, and growth of our people. The team is currently ramping up, expanding across both blue and white-collar roles. A massive thank you to everyone who played a part in this success – from tendering through to operations. Your efforts are truly appreciated.

What I’m really excited about is the award of the North Star Junction BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) project, our first ever battery storage project!

This is a big deal. We’ve secured the contract to deliver construction works for Fortescue’s North Star Junction BESS, which supports their commitment to decarbonising operations in the Pilbara.

Getting to this point has been a journey. It’s taken three years of investment, learning, and persistence. We first dipped our toe into the BESS space awhile back and didn’t quite get across the line. But instead of stepping back, we leaned in, taking the time to understand the role battery storage plays in Australia’s renewable energy future and building up our capability to be ready when the right opportunity came along.

And here we are. This win is a testament to the team’s commitment and long-term thinking. It’s not just a new project, it’s a new chapter for our business unit. A huge thanks to everyone who played a part in getting us here. Your efforts have opened the door to an exciting new space for us.

I also had the pleasure of visiting the Chevron Jansz project on Barrow Island recently. The team are doing an outstanding job, and it was great to see the progress firsthand. With civil works now nearing completion, the baton is in our hands to deliver the completed project. Well done to the site team for living our Mono’s values and showing a can-do attitude – you continue to make us proud.

As we kick off the new financial year, I want to acknowledge the momentum we’ve built together. These wins are not just about contracts – they’re about the people behind them. Your hard work, collaboration, and commitment are what make these achievements possible.

Let’s keep the energy high and continue to support one another as we move through FY26. I’m confident we’re on track for another safe, successful, and rewarding year for the E&I Division.

Thanks again for everything you do.

Damien
