At Monos, we recognise National Reconciliation Week as a time to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
This year’s National Reconciliation Week 2023 is Be a Voice for Generations, which encourages all Australians to be a voice for reconciliation in tangible ways in our everyday lives – where we live, work and socialise.
National Reconciliation Week is held from 27 May to 3 June, as these dates commemorate two significant milestones in Australia’s journey toward reconciliation – The 1967 Referendum and the 1992 High Court Mabo Decision.
HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?
We have a range of resources, including an information pack dedicated to National Reconciliation Week, posters, and personalised Acknowledgement of Country cards tailored to our locations. If you’re interested, reach out to your supervisor for more details.
We strongly encourage you to gather with your teams, use the resources available to engage in open and meaningful discussions about the significance of Reconciliation Week.
NAIDOC Week is also just around the corner, and we will be providing you and your teams with even more resources and exciting activities to partake in. Stay tuned for more information on how you can get involved, or if you have ideas on how your team on site could be involved reach out to your supervisor.
OUR INDIGENOUS PATHWAYS PROGRAM
As part of our commitment to Reconciliation, we launched the Indigenous Pathways Program in 2022. The program provides upskilling and training opportunities for Indigenous people across a number of different fields and pathways.
