We were delighted to present our first EC Teamwork Baton Award for 2026 to the Jansz‑Io Compression Project team at a special morning tea held in their honour.
This award recognises exceptional collaboration, technical capability and commitment in delivering an outstanding project outcome, led by the E&I business unit from tender through execution and extension into further works.
As our first standalone E&I tender of this scale, the project challenged expectations from the outset. The team mobilised to Barrow Island on schedule, established a new workforce from scratch and embedded our standards while aligning with operational requirements, with no escalation of issues to senior leadership. Along the way, they doubled revenue, improved margin and met every key milestone safely and on time.
What set this project apart was the full integration of SMP and electrical into one cohesive team. Planning, problem solving and execution were shared across disciplines, strengthening coordination, reinforcing accountability and driving a culture of collaboration, teamwork and achievement.
The team also successfully delivered a highly complex scope, expanding into areas we do not typically undertake, while embedding the Monadelphous safety culture and aligning with customer expectations. Their professionalism and collaboration on site earned outstanding feedback.
Following completion, the results speak for themselves, with an impeccable safety record, on schedule delivery, and strong client confidence positioning us for further work, including an offshore hook up and commissioning extension.
This project highlights what can be achieved when teams come together with a shared purpose, clear standards and a commitment to working together. It stands as an excellent example of Monadelphous values in action.
