Let’s look at Emotional Literacy. In the next episode of our Wellness Series by the Resilience Project, we learn that emotional literacy is about self-awareness and recognition of our feelings. It’s a skill and like any skill, requires consistent practice to master.

Research shows that being able to name our emotions can help us understand why those feelings have surfaced and help us navigate what we’re going through. In this episode, you’ll learn more about why it’s important to label our emotions, plus the benefits and some ways of practicing emotional literacy.

Watch the episode and try this exercise: Take a look at the emotion wheel below and choose some emotions to link to a time in your life when you have felt that way.
