A Christmas message from John O'Brien

Hi folks

Welcome to the final edition of ‘Ramp Up’ for 2025.

As we approach the end of the calendar year, our Energy business shows no signs of slowing down. We have increased activity across all our contracts, with several areas of work scheduled to commence over the holiday period. I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge the teams who will be continuing to work over the Christmas and New Years’ period to ensure we are upholding the Monos’ standard of delivering on what we promise.

Over this busy period, I encourage you to continue to check in on your colleagues – spending the holiday period away from your loved ones is not easy, and I thank each one of you for your commitment and contribution.

Maintaining our strong focus on safety is more important than ever. Unfortunately, our safety performance has declined over the past year and I encourage everyone to reassess all tasks they are completing on a regular basis to remove the injuries we are seeing from repetitive tasks.

On a brighter note, the INPEX onshore and offshore teams were recently recognised for their exceptional teamwork as recipients of the latest  M&IS Teamwork Baton. The team recently delivered significant shutdown work for INPEX with more than 1,000 personnel mobilised across offshore and onshore facilities. Congratulations to everyone involved!

Earlier in the month, we held our annual Energy Leadership Forum in Perth, bringing together more than 70 site-based leaders at Optus Stadium. The forum included a discussion on psychosocial safety, and reinforcing how everyday actions contribute to a mentally healthy workspace which is something that continues to be a priority.

Finally, whether you’re taking a well-deserved break or continuing to work through the holiday season, please stay safe, look after one another, and take time to recharge.

To those working over the break, thank you for your dedication, it is greatly appreciated, and I hope you get a chance to have a well-deserved break soon.
