Following a strong performance at last year’s Softball Australia Under 14s boys regional tournament, the team travelled to the Hawker International Softball Complex in the Australian Capital Territory, eager to make their mark on the inaugural Under 14 Boys National Championships. With the support of Monadelphous, the team arrived ready to compete, proudly equipped with professional kit bags.

After great performances during the round robin stage, the WA Futures team was well positioned and ready to do their best in the Grand Final against NSW Sky.

In the decider, the team showed discipline and determination, capitalising from scoring opportunities while maintaining pressure through solid pitching and defence in the field. WA gained an early advantage, limiting their opponent’s offensive momentum across the remaining innings, and sealed a memorable victory.

Reflecting on the achievement, Daniel Snape, Monadelphous Lead Coordinator and father of one of the players said, “The team dedicates hours of hard work and sweat into more than six months of preparation, and seeing all that hard work pay off, I couldn’t be prouder.”

Now in its second year of supporting the WA Futures team, Monadelphous continues to invest in the communities where we live and work. Congratulations to the WA Futures team on an outstanding achievement.
