Ramp Up

A message from Doug Macintyre

I want to start by sharing the pleasing safety results we have recently achieved across the Energy business. Six of the last 12 months have been recordable injury free across our sites and we are currently tracking well on our Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate (TRIFR), below target. By maintaining our focus on The Safe Way is the Only Way we can continue to improve on our safety performance and ensure everyone goes home safely every day.

An important part of our culture at Monadelphous – and something I am personally very committed to – is making sure that, no matter how busy we are, we remember to take a moment to celebrate the achievements of both teams and individuals, in particular recognising behaviours that align with our core values.

We recently celebrated our Teamwork and Achievement values when we marked a significant milestone at INPEX’s onshore processing facilities. We held an on-site celebration for reaching 100 business days of successful operations since we were awarded the scope. For everyone involved in this journey so far, from those on the ground in Darwin to our wider Energy team supporting the transition, I want to say a massive thank you for all your efforts and dedication so far.

It is also great to see individual team members recognised for their positive contributions. Congratulations to Britta Wilson, Instrument Electrician within our team in Darwin, who had been named as a finalist in the Women in Resources Northern Territory Awards, within the Exceptional Young Woman category. Earlier this year, Britta was also named an INPEX International Women’s Day Award winner. Britta’s commitment to mentoring others and supporting apprentices has earned her these honours – well done Britta.

We have had lots of Monos Moments to celebrate as well, with 22 awarded since February, as part of our peer-nominated awards program that acknowledges those who go above and beyond. Congratulations to each of our deserving winners and thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate your teammates. If you have seen a great example of a Monos Moment, you can nominate someone here – a few minutes of your time can go a long way to making someone else’s day.

Finally, across Monadelphous, we recently marked Reconciliation Week, an important time to get together within our teams to discuss and reflect on our reconciliation journey and learn more about our shared histories. This Reconciliation Week, some of our people shared what reconciliation means to them, which you can read below.

Enjoy this edition of Ramp Up and, as always, please remember to stay safe and look out for one another.
