Welcome to the latest edition of Ramp Up.  

Firstly, I’m very excited to announce the launch of the 2024/25 Community Grants Program in both Darwin and Karratha. Our Give to Grow Community Grants Program reflects our drive to support local community organisations and ensure we leave a positive legacy in the regions where we work and live. The program gives you the chance to help embed Monadelphous in the community through our investment activities.  

Grants of up to $2,000 (GST exclusive) are available for grassroots organisations, clubs, events, projects, programs and initiatives that align with our eligibility guidelines and have a positive impact on the local community. We are encouraging our teams to nominate or share with an organisation of their choice. You can apply for a grant or find out more information here 

Celebrating a major milestone, Monadelphous Energy BU completed its 21st shutdown at Gove with zero recordable injuries or high potential incidents (HPI). This achievement reflects the team’s commitment to safety, a strong culture, and the driving factors behind their success. 

In Darwin, our team recently found a creative way to re-purpose old PPE, which is a sustainable solution that engages with local business in the region. It’s a great example of thinking outside the box, which you can read more about in this edition of Ramp Up.  

Across the Energy business, we actively seek to engage First Nations business to ensure they benefit from the opportunities the energy sector provides. I’m delighted to say that over the 2023/24 financial year, we exceeded our annual targets for Indigenous supplier spend outlined in our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), finishing the year with a spend of $19.6M, exceeding the annual RAP target of $9M and FY23 annual spend of $11.7M.  

In July we hosted part of the Monadelphous Winter Internship Program, which saw 11 students roll up their sleeves and get hands-on experience on site and in our offices. Five of the interns will be back again for our upcoming Vacation Program this summer. Thank you to everyone who helps to provide valuable learning experiences for our future talent.  

In the lead up to R U OK? Day, Monadelphous launched the 2024 Resilience Project series with a three-part conversation featuring special guests from our executive team. In part one, we heard from Dean Brajevic, General Manager HR, about the power of vulnerability.  Adam Cook, Executive General Manager EC, joined us for part two, opening up about perfectionism and how to embrace being imperfect. The series concludes with Alastair Reid, Executive General Manager M&IS, sharing how finding your passion can make a big impact on your wellbeing and enjoyment in life.  

As always, we aim to grow and develop our people at Monadelphous, promote health and wellbeing, share good times with our teammates and look after our local communities.
