Welcome to your October Ramp Up, bringing you some of the latest news from around the business. It has been a busy month across the board and I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for your ongoing dedication to delivering safely for our customers.
In recent weeks, you may have seen the announcement that our Executive Chairman, John Rubino, will retire, effective after the AGM on 22 November. Over three decades, John has led Monadelphous to success and his leadership style has helped to build a solid foundation and has shaped the success and strong culture of the Company. There are some leadership changes that will follow John’s retirement, which are outlined in this edition of Ramp Up.
You can also read more about our first step into the decommissioning world in this edition. Our work on the Northern Endeavour is underway, with Phase 1 including a wide scope of works such as inspection and repair of towing points, tank remediation and fabric maintenance activities. As you are aware, this is a significant project for Monadelphous and it has been great to see the team receiving great feedback so far. I look forward to bringing you more updates as the work progresses.
Also on the Northern Endeavour, Supervisor James Stevenson was recognised with a Monos Moment award this month for proactively promoting mental health, ensuring the whole team were able to participate in R U OK? Day. James collaborated with onshore and offshore teams to involve all personnel and the wider team onboard. Well done James for your commitment to mental health and wellness and for creating a safe space for everyone.
This month, representatives from HSR, HSEQ and Training Teams travelled to Darwin to attend and present on behalf of our oil and gas team at the Safer Together Forum. The team shared our perspective on the Industry Safety Induction (ISI) initiative, which provides an agreed standard of safety behaviours and competencies for everyone within the oil and gas industry. Read more about the forum and see photos of the event in this edition of Ramp Up.
Also in this edition, you can read about the award our team in the Northern Territory received and find out how to submit your innovative ideas.
Until next time, please stay safe and well.
Doug.
