Ramp Up

A message from Doug Macintyre, Feb '23

Welcome back to your first Ramp Up for 2023. I hope everyone had a safe and happy start to the year, as well as an opportunity to unwind and reset over the holiday season.

We are gearing up for another big year ahead in our Oil and Gas business, including preparing for our biggest turnaround to date later in the year.

Playing a crucial role in our preparations and delivery is the hard-working Personnel Logistics Team who, in many ways, are the backbone who keep our operations running smoothly. From onboarding employees to maintaining rosters and coordinating training exercises, the team is here providing essential support to our people. In this edition of Ramp Up, read more about the team, how they have grown in recent years and what the year ahead has in store for them.

As we brought 2022 to a close, I was delighted to award more Monos Moments. Our Oil and Gas recognition program continues to be an important way in which we can recognise our workmates for going above and beyond and for demonstrating our Monadelphous values. These moments could be at work or out in the community – it is all about honouring people for their efforts. In this newsletter, read about one of our recent recipients in November.

I encourage you to be on the lookout throughout the year for worthy moments and to nominate a teammate – a great way to give someone a boost and a reminder that their efforts don’t go unnoticed. You can nominate here.

While on the topic of recognition, you can also catch up on the journey that the Maintenance & Industrial Services division Teamwork Baton took last year. The baton is about recognising the power of the collective and is awarded to teams for excellent collaboration. In 2022, it made its way into the hands of a few of our teams across the Oil and Gas business and I am looking forward to seeing where it travels to this year.

Finally, as you may be aware, we said a sad farewell to our former Chairman John Rubino in January. There is no doubt that John had a lasting impact on many lives, including those of us who have been lucky enough to work with him over the last 30 years, as he shaped Monadelphous into the Company it is today. To help the Rubino family preserve his legacy, we are gathering the memories, reflections and photos from our people. If you would like to contribute, please send through to communications@monadel.com.au.

Until next time please stay safe and well.

Doug
