For Ella Fiddian, career growth with Monadelphous has happened relatively quickly, thanks to having a supportive team around her and a dedication to learning and growing her skills.
Since making her start with the recruitment team as Project Administrator back in 2012, Ella Fiddian is now supporting the Oil and Gas business in the role of Senior Cost Controller.
Leaving for a short stint to travel, Ella came back to Monadelphous and continued to progress through the business.
Operations Support Manager Paul Barnet said that Ella has made a fantastic contribution to the business over many roles, based both on site and in the office.
“Ella has risen to the many challenges along the way and made a positive impact across the Oil and Gas business, which has been recognised both internally and with our customers,” Paul said.
Ella described her journey so far at Monadelphous as an exciting one that has been full of great opportunities.
“I am grateful to have been able to experience different roles and aspects of the business and I feel that I’m now in a role that is really well suited to me,” she said.
“When I first started, I worked in recruitment and moved into the onboarding department for a project in the Pilbara, where I became Site Administrator.
“This gave me an excellent foundation and, once I returned to Perth, I went on to become Administrator Coordinator.
“When the project finished, I started working as a Project Controls Coordinator and found myself really interested in the cost control part of the role.
“I was given the chance to be more involved in this side of things and it ultimately led me to my current role as Senior Cost Controller.”
Ella said that she enjoys the challenges of her role and the fact that each day she learns something new to advance her skills.
“I have a great team of people that I get to work with every day and this support network has helped my growth throughout my career,” she said.
Outside of work, Ella enjoys being active and spending time outdoors.
“You’ll find me at the beach, walking my dog and socialising with friends and family on the weekends and away from work,” she said.
