Meet Antony Mircev – a recent Construction Management Graduate who joined our Energy team at the start of 2023.
Throughout his studies, Antony was working as an Estimator and Scheduler for a residential builder before deciding to make the move to the resources sector for his graduate program.
Antony said he has learned a lot and the Energy team has made him feel very welcome since joining us.
“Spending time on site has been very rewarding. I really enjoy getting to work with our supervisors, learning from all the different trades and how the plant operates. I believe that coming from a non-trade background, it is extremely important for me to learn from our experts in the field,” he said.
His advice to future grads joining the industry is to ask a lot of questions and be curious.
“I would recommend others join the grad program because you get invaluable hands-on experience working alongside experienced and highly skilled professionals on some of the most interesting projects in the country,” Antony said.
He added that the Program has provided him with extensive exposure and learning opportunities.
“It’s been amazing to work alongside a team that has so much experience and is always willing to help and share their knowledge and expertise,” he said.
Outside of work, you’ll find Antony playing sports with mates or having a friendly game of chess to unwind.
Although he’s currently got his head down focused on expanding his knowledge and taking on new challenges and responsibilities, Antony has big plans aiming to one day take on take on leadership roles within the Energy business.
