Congratulations to our Darwin workforce for having two winners in the INPEX International Women's Day Awards. Britta Wilson Instrumentation/Electrician and Alison Clark, Training Coordinator, both took out awards at the International Women’s Day Awards hosted by INPEX Darwin.
Britta won the Elevate Award for leading the way in mentoring. Her work includes sponsoring and advocating for gender equality in the workplace. She recently completed her apprenticeship at ILNG in Electrical and Instrumentation.
She has displayed strong leadership qualities with natural confidence and is described by peers as analytical and considerate. Britta is a mentor for younger female apprentices.
Britta has coached younger apprentices, by assisting with questions and upskilling knowledge, providing avenues to research answers and sharing knowledge rather than just giving answers. She has initiated a safe space outside work for the young workers to contact each other and be supported.
Alison Clark, Training Coordinator won the Innovation Award for her achievements in innovative problem solving with training pathways and ISSOW level competencies.
Alison researched training pathways to gain ISSOW level competencies by seeking feedback from MSC team leads and employees to identify any missing links.
Following Alison’s work, the MSC experienced a significant increase in employee participation and completion of competency-based training.
