Making an impact in the community

Late last year, members of the Energy team donated their time and volunteered at the Perth Homeless Support Group’s (PHSG) Sunday Outreach Service.

An opportunity HSEQ Manager Emma said was to give back to the community and connect as a team.

“We’ve supported PHSG for the last couple of years, and volunteering for their outreach service was a great way to spend time with the team outside of work and make a meaningful impact on the Perth community,” Emma said.

During the outreach, the team distributed essential items such as food, clothing and toiletries to people experiencing homelessness.

PHSG is committed to supporting individuals who are displaced, homeless, or living in transitional accommodation.

Run entirely by volunteers, PHSG have developed a ‘community model’ that extends beyond providing immediate aid. Their approach creates a safe and welcoming environment where individuals can connect with others, share their stories and access the support they need to move forward.
