Leadership Updates VIC
1 Minute Read

We are thrilled to announce we recently acquired BMC, a maintenance services contractor located in Morwell in the Gippsland region of Victoria (subject to the satisfaction of a number of conditions precedent usual in transactions of this nature).

With 20 years of experience, BMC provides specialist high voltage and instrumentation installation, calibration and maintenance services across the power, petrochemical, pulp and paper, mining, oil and gas and renewables sectors.

The Victorian-based company services major industry and key utilities throughout Australia, employs around 180 personnel and generates approximately $60 million of revenue per annum.

BMC will live within our M&IS Eastern Region business unit, with Brett Ryan taking the role as Transition Manager and Emma Baptist being promoted to the role of Operations Manager – Victoria.

M&IS Eastern Region General Manager, Duane Oxford, said the acquisition of a local mechanical and electrical engineering business, specialising in exotic materials welding, high voltage and instrumentation installation, calibration and maintenance would be a great addition to our suite of service offerings.

“This acquisition will assist with our strategic efforts to build our presence in the east coast-based energy generation, transmission and storage market, supporting Australia’s transition to clean energy,” he said.

“BMC’s geographical location will also assist with strengthening our position as a maintenance services provider to the growing offshore oil and gas decommissioning sector on the east coast of Australia,” he added, which will no doubt be music to the ears of our team working on Northern Endeavour, over in Western Australia.

Oil and Gas General Manager Doug Macintyre said this new venture comes at the perfect time as we continue to grow and expand our capability in the decommissioning sector. “We’re excited by the prospect of working closely with the Eastern Region team, and BMC in Victoria,” Doug said.

We would like to welcome the BMC team into the Monadelphous family. You can read more about the acquisition here.
