Supporting the ADF in the NT

Written by Communications | 16 Dec 2025

Earlier this year, Monadelphous was recognised by the Australian Defence Force (ADF) for its support of reservists in the workplace in the Northern Territory/Kimberley.

Nominated by reservist and Monadelphous Leading Hand, Mark Christiansen, the award recognises civilian employers committed to supporting reservists to enable them to flourish in the workplace and continue to uphold their reservist duties.

Supported by his supervisor, Mark was able to uphold his commitment to the ADF while still remaining part of the shutdown crew. Through an adjusted roster, Mark was able to participate in ANZAC and Remembrance Day ceremonies and then fit back into the crew.

Mark continued to perform his role at Monadelphous without compromising quality and continuing to uphold a high safety standard, while embodying Monadelphous’ core value of integrity.

Through continuous communication between Mark and his supervisor, they were able to work together on successful shutdowns and deliver on what we promise to our customers.

Reserves are an essential part of the ADF and rely on the support of their families, employers and wider community, and we’re honoured to receive this recognition.
