Our Fabric Maintenance Team on Woodside’s Pluto LNG have been successfully delivering on a significant scope of work within a tight timeframe, overcoming external delays to keep the important project on track for the customer.
The work is schedule critical for Woodside. Our team were required to complete eight tank linings within a 12-month period, in addition to day-to-day campaign scopes and the ongoing refurbishment of the jetty substructure at Pluto – which itself is no mean undertaking.
Project Director Jamie Burgess said that what sets the team apart is how harmoniously they work together, with every individual dedicated to achieving success for the customer.
“In what has been a challenging scope, the cohesiveness and unwavering positive attitudes within the team have been key factors in ensuring we deliver under pressure,” he said.
“There are no weak links within the team – we have a group of highly skilled and competent individuals who work together exceptionally well as a group.
“There is also excellent retention within the team, which is further testament to the great work culture and environment they foster.”
Lead Fabric Maintenance Coordinator Graham Smith has been mobilising regularly to Pluto to support as subject matter expert and said that the scope has involved a full team collaboration.
“It is the whole maintenance team who ensure we deliver to the highest standards even with the challenges that come our way – it’s the scaffolders, the general service officers, the painters and the support network,” he said.
“External influences meant the timeframes were further compressed; however the team have all pulled together and we have kept the project on track.”
Their progress has earned them positive feedback from Woodside, strengthening this important customer relationship.
