M&IS TEAMWORK BATON
I was proud to present the 63rd M&IS Teamwork Baton to our teams who have delivered significant shutdown work for INPEX, both onshore and offshore. This achievement reflects huge efforts in planning and coordination, as well as seamless collaboration between multiple teams.
Preparations commenced in 2023, with the planning and coordination team ramping up to 60 people prior to and throughout the shutdowns, and more than 1,000 personnel mobilised across offshore and onshore facilities.
Offshore, the shutdown phase involved major works on the CPF Explorer and FPSO Venturer, with complex logistics managed, including accommodating the CPF shutdown workforce on the Triumph Accommodation Support Vessel. We completed over 680 work orders across the offshore facilities, covering critical scopes such as pipework replacement, valve servicing, vessel inspections, and electrical upgrades. Our teams executed these works safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards, ensuring a leak-free and seamless restart of the facilities.
Onshore, the execution phase included shutting down both LNG trains and major power generation systems, completing over 1,000 work orders. This involved technically challenging scopes such as six major heat exchanger replacements, requiring our team to bring in and assemble two 480-tonnes cranes to support the lifting contractor’s operations, as well as extensive valve, strainer and electrical maintenance.
Delivering this significant shutdown work successfully for our customer is a standout example of teamwork, not only between our teams, but integrating with INPEX shutdown management and managing subcontractor scopes.
Thank you to everyone involved, including our teams based in the INPEX office, support teams in our Victoria Park office, offshore crews, onshore execution teams in Darwin, and logistics support from the Darwin workshop. Together, you are highly worthy winners of the Teamwork Baton.
