Monadelphous was proud to support the WA Futures competing at the Softball Australia Under 14 Boys Regional Tournament in March this year.
The team of 14 boys were selected as the prime candidates to represent the state, after four trials held last year. Since then, they’ve dedicated hours of hard work and sweat into more than six months of preparation.
The WA Futures came away with an impressive result, winning six of their nine games and placing third amongst the state teams.
Energy Lead Coordinator Daniel Snape, proud father of one of the boys on the team, said the experience was a success and incredible accomplishment.
“The tournament was a great success. It’s the highest a WA Under 14 Boys’ team has placed since the competition’s inception,” Daniel said.
“Playing for your state is a huge achievement and opportunity. From here, the players can be picked to play for teams like the Aussie Steelers [men’s national softball team].”
