We recently sponsored the West Kimberley Careers Expo and joined 60 other exhibitors at the Broome Civic Centre to connect with local students and jobseekers from across the region. It was a great opportunity to discuss oil and gas career pathways and inspire students as they plan their futures.
The Expo showcased a range of career opportunities for all ages with speed recruiting, activations, recruitment advice, and interactive activities for job seekers to get a taste of life on site.
Our team had the opportunity to meet hundreds of eager primary and secondary students exploring training and career options for the future, as well as local job seekers and community who attended to discover local work options, training courses or the chance to learn about an entirely new industry.
The Broome Heliport is the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere, playing a pivotal role in transporting our crews to offshore facilities. It is estimated that the Heliport is currently transporting on average 15 passengers at a time and up to 45,000 people annually to oil and gas production facilities hundreds of kilometres from the Kimberley coast.
The event was a great opportunity to promote our local operations and the range of career opportunities we have available. As we continue to increase our footprint as well as innovation in our everyday operations and expand to new and exciting sectors including renewable energies – it is exciting to see our team continue to grow.
