In September a small group from Monos had the opportunity to attend the Women in Resources (WIR) Lunch & Learn session in Darwin.

Among the attendees were Mia Brahim, Louise Waddell, Veena Thankachan, and Nicole Mills, who all enjoyed a day of personal growth and leadership development.

The session kicked off with [Michelle Taylor](https://c4consultancy.com.au/about/) diving into emotional intelligence, encouraging everyone to reflect on their own thoughts and behaviours.

Her message was clear: knowing yourself is the first step to becoming a great leader!

We were also lucky to hear from [Anahita Tonkin](https://probonoaustralia.wixsite.com/impact25-probonoaust/2022-impact-25-nominees/tonkin), who shared her incredible experiences working with the Yalu Indigenous Corporation and her journey with Indigenous leaders—truly inspiring!

A special shout-out to Louise, who was handpicked from a group of 25 participants for an exclusive 1:1 session with Michelle Taylor. What an exciting opportunity for Louise as she takes on more leadership responsibilities here onsite!

It was a day filled with learning, connection, and plenty of inspiration to take forward.
