The Fix

Our teams have been busy across the Mining and Minerals North West Region, and this looks set to continue into the new financial year.

We are currently finalising our strategy for the year ahead, which will outline our areas of focus for the next 12 months, under our key pillars of people, performance and reputation. I look forward to updating you in the coming months on our strategic direction and how we will continue to achieve success together.

In Karratha, we also made the much-anticipated move into our new hub in the Gap Ridge Industrial Estate, co-locating with Monadelphous’ Heavy Lift and Group Assets teams. The modern and well-equipped facility is a welcome change from our previous workshop, where we have been since the 1980s, and supports our expanding footprint in the region. Thank you to everyone who has been involved in the Gap Ridge project and who helped to ensure a smooth move-in and transition.

In Port Hedland in May, I was pleased to join the celebrations as Monadelphous unveiled "Rubino," the largest crane in the Monadelphous fleet. Named in honour of our former Chairman John Rubino, the Tadano CC88.1600 crane boasts a load capacity of 1600 tonnes. This significant investment enhances our operational capabilities and opens up future work opportunities, particularly with our key customers in the Pilbara. You can see some of the pictures of the Rubino in this edition of The Fix.

Across Monadelphous, we also actively participated in National Reconciliation Week from 27 May to 3 June, encouraging our teams to discuss and reflect on our reconciliation journey and learn more about our shared histories. This year, some of our people from across Monadelphous shared what reconciliation means to them, which you can read below.

We continue to take great pride in our role within the communities where we live and work, including our sponsorships of local clubs and grassroots organisations, and by providing career pathways and opportunities. It was great to see our team in Karratha representing Monadelphous at the Karratha Careers Fair in May, connecting with and inspiring the next generation on career options available within the resources sector.

Finally, we are keen to highlight and share the many environmental initiatives happening across Monadelphous' sites. Whether you're leading a local effort or part of a larger sustainability push, please send your stories and projects with us at enviro@monadel.com.au. Every action, big or small, brings us closer to our Net Zero goals and should be celebrated.

Please remember, as always, to keep safe and look out for one another.
