Welcome to the latest edition of The Fix.
Firstly, I’m delighted to announce that earlier this month we were awarded the WA Supplier of the Year by Rio Tinto at Rio Tinto’s Supplier Recognition Awards. These awards recognise suppliers' significant contributions to Rio Tinto’s business across various categories. This achievement is a testament to our team’s dedication and is something we can all take pride in.
Additionally, I'm thrilled to share that Monadelphous was a finalist for the Innovation Award. This award acknowledges our innovative approach to continuous improvement, exemplified by numerous High 5 nominations from across our operations and wins for the Projects Team at Cape Lambert. Ben Curnick, our Project Lead, shared his insights in an interview last month, highlighting our unwavering commitment to excellence and our valued partnership with Rio Tinto.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to our long-standing partnership with Rio Tinto and helped us achieve this award – your efforts are truly appreciated.
In this edition, you'll get to know Aaron Ford, who made a big pivot in his career journey early on and hasn’t looked back since. Additionally, we’ll feature Paige Lang, who recently celebrated her 10-year service milestone with Monadelphous.
Our maintenance team at Cape Lambert has been an integral part of Karratha's coastal scene since 2006. In this edition, we’ll check in with Mark Fitzgerald, Superintendent, who leads the maintenance team at Cape Lambert.
Finally, we'll spotlight the incredible work of the Karratha Grants Fund. From empowering local initiatives to fostering community growth, they've been making waves and changing lives.
Enjoy this edition, and remember, the safe way is the only way. Let's focus on eliminating fatal risks to ensure everyone stays safe and returns home at the end of each workday.
