Welcome to the latest edition of The Fix.
We recently celebrated International Women in Engineering Day on 23 June. In this edition, we interview several female engineers across our business unit to hear about what they love about engineering and why they would encourage young women to pursue engineering as a career. Learn more about Anais, Elisa, Annika, Sydney and Rosa here.
In Karratha, Anais Will, one of our talented Project Engineers, served as a panelist at the National Association of Women in Operations (NAWO) ‘When I Grow Up’ event. The event is aimed at showcasing career opportunities in the resources sector to girls and their male allies aged 10 to 17. Read more about this fantastic event here.
Across our Australian operations and offices, we also observed NAIDOC Week, a time to celebrate and acknowledge the rich history and achievements of First Nations peoples.
At Monadelphous, we aim to grow and develop our people, promote health and wellbeing, share good times with our teammates and look after our local communities. As part of this. our refreshed employee benefits program, Benefits@Monadelphous launched in June and has been designed with you in mind – learn more about Benefits@Monadelphous here.
Finally, I’d like to congratulate Mayuran Thanigasalam on reaching 20 years with Monadelphous. Mayuran joined us back in 2003 as a Vacation Student and made significant contributions in the Engineering Construction division on many projects over the years. Mayuran is now an integral part of our team as a Project Manager, where he has been instrumental in several key Water Projects. Mayuran’s versatility, expertise and leadership qualities have seen him excel at Monadelphous – here's to 20 more years!
We’re over the halfway point for the year – keep up the good work and, more importantly, look after yourself and your teammates.
Nick
