Hi everyone

Welcome to this month’s edition of The Fix.

In our previous edition, we shared we had entered into an agreement to acquire High Energy Service (HES), the acquisition is now officially complete, with HES now formally part of Monadelphous and our Mining and Minerals North West business unit.

In addition to our consistently high volume of work across all areas, we have a strong pipeline of opportunities ahead, with high levels of work secured through to Christmas and beyond. As activity continues to increase, we must remain focused on delivering what we promise and maintaining our strong focus on safety. To support our growth, we’re on the lookout for people to join our team – if you know anyone that would be a good fit, encourage them to apply via Monadelphous Careers. All current vacancies are listed here.

It was our turn in the hot seat for the third episode of the M&IS Podcast ‘Torque it Up’. I was joined by Jake O’Donnell, Area Manager to chat about all things MMNW, as well as taking the opportunity to reflect on the evolution of our business. In addition to his podcast debut, Jake celebrated 10 years with Monadelphous earlier this year, starting as a grad engineer. Congratulations on your milestone, Jake!

In May, we had Raff (Pre-Contracts Manager) and Elisa (Project Engineer) head over to New Zealand to connect with aspiring engineers at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch and share their insights into careers at Monadelphous. Raff and Elisa were supported by Yuki from the Monadelphous Learning and Development team and the trip marked a valuable step in strengthening Monadelphous’ graduate talent pipeline.

We check in with HSE on the Driver Fatigue and Distraction Monitoring (DFDM) systems, which were first rolled out in our business in 2023. Implementing these systems marks another vital step in ensuring every team member gets home safe and well. Currently, the DFDM verifies approximately one fatigue event each week, demonstrating its impact. I want to take this opportunity to reinforce that safety should always be the forefront of everything we do, let’s continue to work together, both individually and as teams to show that The Safe Way is the Only Way.

Until the next edition, stay safe and look after your mates.

Nick
