Since the start of the year, we have continued to maintain an outstanding safety performance across all our work locations, which is something I am extremely proud of. It’s a testament to our teams who continue to stay focused on the task at hand. It has been great to see our efforts in promoting positive behaviours, sharing learnings and focusing on fatal risk controls continuing to contribute to our strong safety culture. Well done everyone – l encourage you to keep this level of focus for the months ahead.
I thought I’d take this opportunity to provide you with an overview of the recent projects and contracts we have secured across our business over the last six months. Providing you visibility of what we have on across the region will hopefully give you confidence that we continue to offer a diverse pool of work which you can access. Thank you to all those involved in securing these contracts – often they are won of the back of our excellent performance on previous jobs, but there is also a tonne of work which is done by our support services to get these contracts over the line.
Since our last Gap Ridge facility update, which was a while ago now, construction of the workshop has well and truly kicked off – you can see the progress in the picture below.
We are expected to have the facility open in the first half of 2024, which will be exciting for our team in Karratha, and send a strong message to our customers and the community about our long-term investment in the region.
Speaking of new facilities, in this edition of The Fix we hear all about how well everything is tracking at our Port Hedland facility and the ongoing work they have been executing for our customers in the track maintenance space.
In addition to all the good project work happening across our region, our teams play an active role in the community which we highlight this month, including our attendance at both the Karratha and Port Hedland careers expos, which has been great to see.
Thank you all for another great month.
Until next time,
Nick Raffan.
