Alevro has all the ingredients of success

An absolutely complementary partnership, the Monadelphous Heavy Lift business has partnered with Italian heavy lifting specialist, Fagioli, to form a new joint venture (JV) providing full turnkey heavy lifting and shift solutions to the Australian resources market.

Formalised in January this year, the JV team have been busy setting up and formally establishing the JV to present to the market in preparation to capitalise on upcoming opportunities. Now known as Alevro, the partnership unlocks increased capability and capacity to deliver significant projects locally in Australia.

“The name Alevro is inspired by the ‘lever’ which requires two sides in order to function, and ‘leverage’ which allows more work to be done. Our business name, Alevro, was chosen to represent the strength of both Monadelphous and Fagioli when we’re working in sync together,” said Dino Foti, Monadelphous Executive General Manager and Alevro executive committee member.

“Alevro has all the ingredients to be extremely successful and I’m excited about what the future brings for our business and the sector.”

Who is Fagioli?

Fagioli has a worldwide track record for delivering specialist heavy lifting and transport, project logistics and freight forwarding. They’ve been involved in successfully executing some of the world’s largest, most significant and difficult alternative lifting packages.

Some of their most memorable work includes refloating the sunken cruise ship the Costa Concordia, installing a rocket tower for Elon Musk’s SpaceX, assembly of the complete offshore platform for the Shell Hebron Project and many more significant resource industry projects.

Why did we form Alevro?

The proven construction track-record of Monadelphous, combines with Fagioli’s world-class experience in engineering complex global heavy lifting projects to create a unique value proposition to the Australian resources market.

We can work with customers early in the design of a project to optimise it for construction, by assessing the engineering, design, shipping and transport logistics, modularisation, methodologies and field execution, to identify opportunities to accelerate construction, reduce project labour hours on site and manage schedule risks.

What’s next for Alevro?

In May, the Alevro Committee met in Perth for the first time and introduced the JV and the value it can add to some of our key strategic customers. The initial response received was incredibly positive and the team are confident in being able to capitalise on the buoyant iron ore market in WA and the rebounding oil and gas sector, with new LNG projects emerging.
