Community support is at the heart of thriving regional towns like Tom Price, and local sport is one of the places where that spirit really shows.

That is why Monadelphous is proud to support the Tom Price Amateur Swim Club, helping young swimmers in the Pilbara access opportunities to train, compete and develop their skills in the pool.

The impact of that support was on full display earlier this year at the 2026 Belt Up Country Pennants in Karratha, where the Tom Price team delivered an outstanding result, finishing second overall in C Grade after two days of racing.

Twenty-three swimmers, along with three of the club’s youngest Splash and Dash competitors, competed in 99 events across the weekend.

The team returned home with an impressive medal tally that included 20 individual gold medals, three gold relay wins, 29 individual silvers, six silver relays, 32 individual bronze medals and seven bronze relay finishes. The squad also set 37 personal bests and achieved four state-qualifying times.

One of the standout moments came when Cora Delaporte broke a long-standing Country Pennants record in the Girls 11 and Under 50 metre backstroke with a time of 37.39 seconds, beating a record that had stood since 1997.

Monadelphous sponsorship helps support a range of initiatives that keep the club running strong. This includes providing team uniforms for the Country Pennants squad, helping offset travel costs for swimmers attending competitions and engaging professional swimmers and coaches to deliver development workshops.

Support also contributes to equipment and facility upgrades, lane hire for squad sessions and club nights, and essential club supplies and merchandise. It also helps recognise the efforts of swimmers and volunteers at the club’s end-of-season awards night.

With a strong volunteer base, passionate families and growing support from local partners, the Tom Price Amateur Swim Club continues to build opportunities for young athletes across the Pilbara.
