Celebrating our people and the good work they do is a key part of our culture here at Monos. To help acknowledge those who have gone above and beyond from our team, we have our MMNW Safety Champion and Northern Star Achievement awards.
Supervisor, Jamie Blair-Hickman – Coastal & West Pilbara Operations
Jamie demonstrated excellent safety leadership by ‘Being Mindful’ & ‘Speaking Up’ when he saw an opportunity to implement an engineering control by utilising lifting hooks to reduce the potential exposure to hand injuries. After gaining approvals, a team member, Saeed Kabiry ‘Got Involved’ and fabricated the lifting hooks which are now readily available onsite to encourage ongoing safe behaviours when handling mesh.
Both Monadelphous and our key customers continue to see preventable hand injuries occurring on site, so it is fantastic to see these types of proactive controls being identified and implemented.
Well done Jamie for his dedication to looking for ways to make our operations safer.

Logistics Coordinator, Marguerite (Mags) McNamara – Port & East Pilbara Operations
One of our customers reached out to us over the weekend requesting some labour resources to assist with a breakdown. We have not been to that particular site for a while, so it was important to build that customer relationship and deliver.
Mags and Alex Gill, without being asked, spent the weekend assisting the team with the labour requests, estimates, compliance and logistics for a short turnaround. This aligns with our values of teamwork, achievement, and loyalty. The request was completed, and a team of personnel mobilised to site on short notice to assist the customer.
Mags is always going above and beyond inside and outside of work hours. She is a team player with the company's interests at heart.
