The Fix

Growing in the Pilbara

Written by Communications | 31 Oct 2022

Within the last six months, Monadelphous has secured two significant contracts with Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) as we continue to expand our footprint in the North West region.

Back in July, we announced that we had secured a five-year contract to provide maintenance, repairs, general shutdown services and minor projects across FMG’s Pilbara operations, including all mines and port operations. This contract was underpinned by the strong relationship our Heavy Lift team have developed with the customer over recent years.

Most recently, Monadelphous was appointed to a panel providing Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) services across FMG’s Pilbara operations in Western Australia for a three-year period, with a one-year extension option.

This gives us the opportunity to bid on NPI works, including a significant amount of work for Fortescue Future Industries (FFI) in the renewable energy market and hydrogen facility construction.

General Manager Mining & Minerals North West Region Nick Raffan said this contract supports expansion and diversification of our service offerings.

“Our appointment to the NPI panel positions us for a wide range of projects, many of which provide opportunities for long term rostered work,” he said.

“It is also testament to the strong reputation we have been building with the customer this year and the hard work our teams put in to delivering.”

Well done to everyone involved in securing these important contracts.
